Release Notes - elDoc - Version v7.2026.4

IMPORTANT

This release includes several database schema upgrades and data migrations. A full database backup is mandatory before proceeding with the upgrade.

NOTE

Due to extensive database schema upgrades and internal data migrations, upgrading to this version may take a considerable amount of time, particularly in environments containing large volumes of BPM processes and documents, files in the File Management module, or documents in the IDP module.

Plan your maintenance window accordingly and allow sufficient time for the upgrade to complete.

Upgrade Recommendations

1. Full-Text Search Index Rebuild

Upgrading to this version requires a complete rebuild of the Full-Text Search Index.

Update the elDoc JMC configuration in config-eldoc.json or config-eldoc-ai.json. For the ai.eldoc.jmc.docman.ElDocSolrDocManager DocManager, ensure the following parameter is configured:

"skipUpdateNsSuffixes": []

2. Disable JMC During the Initial Startup

During the first startup of the new elDoc version, it is strongly recommended to keep elDoc JMC disabled until all database schema upgrades and internal data migrations have been completed.

To achieve this, set one of the following environment variables:

  • DISABLE_EMBEDDED_JMC=true — Disables the embedded JMC.

  • DISABLE_EMBEDDED_SOLR=true — Disables the embedded Solr integration.

3. Monitor Upgrade Progress

Monitor the elDoc upgrade process by following the application log in real time using the following command:

tail -f logs/elDoc.log.0

Ensure that all database schema upgrades and data migrations have completed successfully before proceeding.

4. Re-enable JMC and Rebuild the Search Index

Once the database upgrades and migrations are complete, restore the appropriate environment variable settings and restart elDoc with JMC enabled to initiate the required Full-Text Search Index rebuild.
